Europa League finalist Arsenal have completed the signing of promising teenage defender Jason Sraha from Europa League winners Chelsea.
Naija News understands that Arsenal, on Monday, unveiled Sraha alongside 11 other first-year scholars.
A statement on Arsenal website reads: “Jason recently joined us from Chelsea. He is a left-footed centre back with a calm and composed attitude in and out of possession.”
Sraha will be hoping to make his debut in the U18 Premier League when the 2019/2020 season kicks-off.
All players in their U17 year are required to start the season on a scholarship arrangement before they are permitted to sign a first professional football contract on or after their 17th birthday.

Arsenal have hailed Alex Iwobi, after his goal fired Nigeria into the last eight of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Iwobi is currently plying his trade with the Premiership giants.
The Super Eagles had opened scoring through Odion Ighalo, but saw Cameroon turn the game on its head.
Stephane Bahoken and Clinton N’Jie netted within three minutes, to ensure the Indomitable Lions went into the break 2-1 up.
However, Ighalo pulled Nigeria level, before feeding Iwobi for what proved to be the winner.
Arsenal tweeted via their official handle: “Soar Super Eagles!
“Our #NaijaBoy fires @NGSuperEagles into the #AFCON2019 quarter-finals.
“Congratulations, @alexiwobi.”
The Eagles will face either hosts Egypt or South Africa, for a place in the semi-finals.

West Ham United Striker Marko Arnautovic has passed a medical ahead of a proposed move to Shanghai SIPG after a 25 million euro (£22.4m) deal was agreed.
It was gathered that the east London club were running out of patience to allow Arnautovic leave after comments made by the striker’s brother claiming they are “using” him, but it seems as though the Austrian will be heading to China permanently, providing personal terms can be agreed.
The 30-year-old scored 21 goals in 59 Premier League matches for the Hammers in his two seasons at the club and established himself as a fans favourite before asking to leave for the Chinese Super League in January.
After pushing for a move away, Arnautovic signed a contract extension which saw his wages rise by 20 per cent to £120,000 a week, including a £40m release clause, which expired on June 14.
Arnautovic will become the third forward to leave West Ham this window after Andy Carroll’s contract expired and Lucas Perez was sold to Alaves, with Javier Hernandez also admitting he will be allowed to leave this summer.
West Ham are already looking for replacements to their depleted forward line as they look to finalise a deal for Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez after he named the London Stadium as his preferred destination.
A sell-on clause means Arnautovic’s former club, Stoke, will be due 20 per cent of any fee above £20m.

Cameroon legend, Samuel Eto’o, has identified Uganda national team as the most improved team at the ongoing 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Egypt.
The former Barcelona and Chelsea striker explained that the Cranes have really improved, adding that he likes the way they work together as a team.
The 38-year-old stated this ahead of Uganda’s AFCON round of 16 tie against Senegal on Friday night.
Uganda finished in the second position in Group A with five points behind the host nation, Egypt.
“The Ugandan team has really improved and I like the way they work together as a team,” Eto’o told URN.
“In football the goals matter a lot and now they are going to the knockout stage where goals will surely count.
Eto’o is among the seven legends selected by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as ambassadors for the 2019 AFCON.

Scotland international striker, Jane Rose has joined Manchester United.
The club announced the signing of the 29-year-old on Thursday.
Ross is joining The Red Devils from Women’s Super League club, West Ham United.
She was a member of Scotland’s squad to the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
She made a solitary appearance in the competition against Japan in the group stage.
Rose helped West Ham finish seventh in the WSL last season and reach the Women’s FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium.
The statement added, “Manchester United is delighted to confirm the signing of Jane Ross to the club’s women’s team.
“The 29-year-old striker spent the 2018/19 season with Women’s Super League club West Ham United, and was most recently part of the Scotland national team that participated in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
“Further information will be communicated in due course.”

Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubmeyang, has seemingly laid to rest speculations about his future, by stating that he wants to help the club qualify for the Champions League next season.
Aubameyang, who netted 31 goals last season, has been linked with a move to Manchester United and the Chinese Super League this summer.
But in an interview with FourFourTwo, the Gabon international who has returned for preseason training with the Gunners, outlined his targets for the new campaign.
“You come back to training and that’s what everyone is thinking about.
“We’re hungry to hear that (Champions League) song once again. It’s time. We have the quality to do it, so we have to make sure we will do it.
“That has to be the main target of every Arsenal season.”
Aubameyang, who shared the Golden Boot with Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah last season, added: “It’s so important to win something.
“This is a great club, which has a very long history of winning important trophies, so it’s time we won something big again.
“There was the FA Cup a couple of years ago, but now we have to aspire to more. We have a strong mentality to always move forward after any setback.”

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has revealed that the Super Eagles have a slight advantage over the Indomitable Lions when both teams meet at the Alexandria Stadium on Saturday evening.
While the Super Eagles have been based in Alexandria for the past 18 days and played all their Group B fixtures in the oldest stadium in Africa, Cameroon had their first training session in Alexandria on Thursday.
Ranked among the top three teams in Africa by FIFA, the Super Eagles can go up against any opponents in Africa and Ndidi believes their familiarity with the Alexandria Stadium may give them an upper hand against Cameroon.
‘It can be but, I don’t think one hundred percent,” said Ndidi to Busy Buddies.
”It’s not really an advantage because this is Egypt, so, I think the only fact is that we’ve played three times on the ground and that’s the only advantage.
”And then the size of the pitch, they might have to get to know the pitch on the game day during the game so the only advantage is the fact that we’ve played there three times.”
Ndidi is set to return to Nigeria’s starting line-up tomorrow after he was rested for the first half of the 2-0 loss to Madagascar.

Everton Ladies have completed the signing of midfielder, Molly Pike, from Chelsea.
Pike joined the Merseyside club on a two-year contract.
The England youth international scored 14 goals in 17 appearances in the WSL Academy League for Chelsea last season.
Everton boss, Willie Kirk, disclosed this on Twitter on Friday.
He wrote: “Having developed well throughout the pathway at Chelsea, I’m excited to now be able to play a part in the next stage of Molly Pike’s development.
“This girl has huge potential and she will be a big part of Everton Ladies future, and is in my opinion, a future Lionesses.”

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has identified Lyon’s Moussa Dembele or Lille’s Nicolas Pepe as strikers that could replace Romelu Lukaku at Old Trafford.
Lukaku has been heavily linked with a summer move to Serie A giants, Inter Milan in recent weeks.
According to Evening Standard, Solskjaer is desperate to sell Lukaku this summer and wants the Red Devils to sign either Dembele or Pepe.
